About Us
Acquired this wonderfully charming inn since 2012, your hosts Caroline and Benjamin are now looking forward to greeting you in their lovely and spacious Victorian abode built in the 1860s, ultimately converted into a Bed & Breakfast in 1995.
Proud of its New England architectural heritage, the Manoir was first owned by Mrs. Jane Lindsay before being sold to Mr. Wallace, a broker, in 1907. The Turner family owned the place from 1944 until 1979, when it was then bought by Mr. Robert Cooney. The guest rooms nowbear the names of these previous owners. Over the years, the Manoir witnessed the appearance of steamships such as the Lady of the Lake, a paddle wheel boat which was operational until 1915, as well as the arrival of the first train in 1877 in this town rich in history.
Your hosts Caroline, with over 25 years in catering services, and Benjamin, with a diverse background and actually president of the local b&b association, are now combining their experience working with the public to their passion for food and cooking. They'll go out of their way to make sure your stay is as pleasant as can be in this peaceful, intimate settingwhere guests can fully relax and enjoy the time spent in this region.
